Recovery Coach Coordination Assistant

An opportunity exists to understand how CWS assists people experiencing substance addiction, and the type of environment and self-determination that can help one succeed. You will gain a good overview of the organisation. Addiction is becoming epidemic, especially in our Gold Coast community, and the harm caused by addiction extend to all community members.

Our clients set goals and work with recovery coaches regularly to stick to strategies and tasks. As a Recovery Coach Coordinator, you will be responsible for sending preparation emails, diary appointments and administrative duties. If allowed by the client you will be able to sit through coaching sessions as an observer which will illuminate your learning about psychological processes involved in engaging a client through their recovery process. You will also play a part in coordinating with Cert IV Recovery Coach students and potential students regarding their coursework, as auspiced by Course Coordinator.

Fundraising Coordination Assistant

Our work requires ongoing branding and community support. We do this by educating the Gold Coast public about the harms of alcohol, tobacco and drug use. We engage them in our clients recovery as a Member, Sponsor or Donor. You will have the opportunity to assist in areas in which you feel comfortable from liaising with donors to creating campaigns and also assist with database accuracy and lead generation.

Grants Coordination Assistant

Every year, there are about 40 Government, Foundational or Not For Profit Grants available for application for our type of Organisation. An opportunity exists to learn about the benefit our organisation brings to the community by applying for grants on behalf of the organisation. You will use our template to ensure timely application to all eligible and available funding rounds and provide the draft application to your supervisor for finalisation as appropriate.
