The College for Law, Education & Training is a registered training organisation offering courses starting from just $995 – $4995 so make sure you study either Certificate II, III, IV or Diploma of Community Services Work and/or Diploma of Counselling.

The Certificate II, III, IV and Diploma of Community Services Work and Diploma of Counselling qualifications will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to work effectively with individuals and groups, in residential and community settings, to identify their needs and plan and develop appropriate services to meet those needs. You will learn about the community services sector including mental health, alcohol and other drug services, and domestic violence services. You will learn skills in effective communication, gathering, maintaining and providing information, advocacy and community development processes, ethical behaviour and legal responsibilities of community workers. As part of this qualification you will undertake a supervised or simulated work placement where you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned.

Community Workers are people who, in working for the benefit of the community, act deliberately to ensure that the social and community fabric exists and is accessible to individuals or the groups in the community. This qualification is available as a broad-based qualification or with a focus on either community services or community development work.
